Maid of Honor Planner Spreadsheet

About this download

For the maid of honor (or the bridesmaid doing the planning): plan the bridal shower, the bachelorette and your wedding week jobs in one file, split every shared cost fairly, log who has paid, and see exactly who owes whom.

What it is not: it is not the couple's wedding planner or budget. It does not send, request or collect money. The split is simple math on the numbers you enter, not financial advice.

IMPORTANT

Developed for Google Sheets. An Excel file is included for the latest Microsoft 365 (Office 365 Desktop App). Older Excel versions may not support all features.

Quick setup: open the Start Here PDF, make your own copy, add your bridal party.

WHAT'S INSIDE (13 tabs)

Start Here: quick setup, how to share it with the bridesmaids, color key and notes.

Setup: the bride's name, the wedding, shower and bachelorette dates and places, a currency label, whether the group covers the bride's share, a palette picker, a Show sample data switch and the dropdown lists.

Dashboard: countdowns to the shower, the bachelorette and the wedding, shared costs by event, average share, collected and still owed, tasks done, the next 5 tasks due and 2 charts.

Bridal Party: the one place names live (up to 16 people, bride included): role, shower and bachelorette answers, share weight, payment handle, contact, size and food notes. Every other tab picks people from it.

Shower: guest list with RSVP, gift and thank you status, plus a planning list for the menu, games, decor and supplies.

Bachelorette: who is coming, a packing checklist with tick boxes and activity ideas with a Chosen tick.

Itinerary: day by day plan with times, place, who books it and Booked or Not booked. Prints one page wide.

Rooms and Travel: who sleeps where, arrivals and departures, and who is not placed yet.

Shared Costs: each cost with who paid and a tick for each person who shares it. Split Equal or Weighted, and spread the bride's share over the others when the group covers it.

Payments: money passed between people.

Settle Up: what each person paid and owes, with Is owed, Owes or Settled, and a who pays whom list (for example: Grace pays Maya 334.42).

MOH Duties: 30 typical maid of honor tasks to edit, with due dates counted back from the wedding, owner, status (Done, Due soon, Overdue) and a speech notes box. Prints one page wide.

Gifts: gift log with thank you status and the group gift total.

5 palettes in one file: Rosewood, Dusty Blue, Graphite, Colorblind Safe and High Contrast. Status cells always carry a word as well as a color.

A fictional sample bridal party shows how it works (20 shared costs, 8 payments, a shower and a lake town weekend). Switch it Off on Setup before you add your own.

Room for 16 people in the bridal party (bride included), 80 shower guests, 40 shower planning items, 60 itinerary rows, 16 rooms or beds, 150 shared cost lines, 200 payments, 80 maid of honor tasks and 80 gift rows.
