This Product & Recipe Pricing Calculator brings materials, labor, packaging, overhead and fee estimates into one connected workbook. Enter supplies in the pack size you buy, then use compatible quantities in each product's recipe. It suits handmade items, candles, baking batches and other small production workflows.

Materials and labor per item, allocated overhead, total cost, a suggested price for your target margin, profit and margin at your own price, profit per making hour, a wholesale check and monthly break-even items. Suggested prices can round to .99, .95, .50, a whole number or two decimals.

Dashboard shows six KPIs, attention items, margin bars, a cost breakdown donut and the lowest and highest margins.

Supplies holds 300 supplies with pack prices, sizes, units and optional pack shipping or tax.

Recipes has 1,500 lines, one per supply per product batch, with checks for incompatible units.

Products holds 100 products with batch sizes, making time, optional extra costs and your own selling price.

Fee Compare compares up to six editable sales channels, showing fees, profit and margin for each. Retail channels have target prices, while wholesale profit and margin use the wholesale price. It also includes a 20% to 75% target margin price ladder.

Settings holds your rates, overhead, target, fee examples, wholesale percentage and rounding choice.

Units is a hidden protected reference for weight, volume, length and count conversions.

Both themes include a blank workbook and a completed fictional Maple Lane Candles sample. The Start Here PDF includes four links to make your own online copies. The workbooks use protected formulas without a password and separate entry cells from calculated cells. No macros or checkboxes are required.

Developed for Google Sheets. An Excel file is included for the latest Microsoft 365 (Office 365 Desktop App). Older Excel versions may not support all features. The same formulas are designed for both. Keep a separate backup of your own work.

Fee defaults are editable starting estimates from research, October 2026. Check and edit your fees before pricing. Fee calculations assume one item per order, with fixed fees allocated to each item. Add any shipping you pay or other costs that are not already in the recipe to Extra per item. Wholesale profit excludes selling fees.

Unit conversion stays within the same family. Weight and volume cannot convert without a density. For example, flour used in cups must be bought in cups or weighed in grams. Cup and spoon measures are US. Pack is for pack-level use only. Keep product and supply names unique, and update recipe links when you rename them.

With .99 rounding, the suggestion may be up to 0.01 below the raw target. Review the displayed margin after rounding. Profit per making hour is calculated after the hourly rate already included in labor cost. Break-even shows the items needed to cover monthly overhead with one product alone. These are calculations from the entries and assumptions you supply.

To sort, unprotect the sheet with no password, sort the whole table, then protect it again. Filtering is available while protected. Dashboard shows the first 10 attention items and the first 15 named products in its chart; all 100 rows count in the KPI totals.
