A recipe cost calculator for home bakers and small food businesses. Enter each ingredient once with what you paid, write recipes in cups, spoons or grams, and see the cost of every batch, cookie, slice and serving, with packaging, your time and overhead included. Then set prices that hit your margin, quote custom orders with a deposit, scale recipes, and print a price list for customers.

IMPORTANT

Developed for Google Sheets. An Excel file is included for the latest Microsoft 365 (Office 365 Desktop App). Older Excel versions may not support all features.

Quick setup: open the Start Here PDF, make your own copy, then fill Settings, Ingredients and Recipes.

WHAT'S INSIDE (12 tabs)

• Settings: business name, any currency, US or metric display, labor rate, overhead per batch, target margin, optional sales fee %, price rounding and theme.
• Ingredients: 300 rows: what you paid, cost per gram, ml and each, grams per cup, price change flag and 9 allergen checkboxes.
• Packaging and Supplies: 150 rows of boxes, boards, liners, labels, ribbon and bags with cost per piece.
• Recipes: one table of 2,500 lines for up to 100 recipes, any unit, cost per line, photo link column.
• Recipe Card: pick a recipe: cost per batch, unit and serving, suggested price, cost bar, scaling by factor or target servings.
• Order Quote: 3 quote slips: size, up to 3 recipes, decorating hours, add-ons, delivery, discount, deposit and balance, plus a clean customer quote to print.
• Sizes and Servings: your size list with servings and a batch multiplier or a count per size.
• Price List: every item with cost, suggested price, your price, margin and a below target flag, plus a customer menu to print.
• Order Log: 500 orders with deposit, balance due and status.
• Allergen and Label Helper: a Contains line and the ingredients in descending weight order for any recipe.
• Dashboard: most and least profitable items, items below target, ingredient prices that rose, open orders and balances due.
• Hidden Density list: about 60 common baking ingredients with grams per cup, so cups, tablespoons and teaspoons turn into grams.

Limits: 300 ingredients, 150 packaging items, 100 recipes with up to 25 ingredient lines each (2,500 recipe lines), 150 Price List items (the printed menu shows the first 40), 30 sizes, 3 quote slips at a time and 500 orders.
